INTERSTELLER DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE THE WORLDS FIRST SOLAR-SYSTEM CLASS SPACECRAFT
Have you ever dreamed of living, working and exploring the solar system? Visit the other planets? We plan to make this a reality. Starting by building a company capable of manufacturing the first space station that has 80% earth gravity and 40,000 square meters of space per level. A ship this size will be capable of permanently housing 200 people per level, and as we expand the habitat, so will we expand the reach.
This is not a fantasy, but based on reality and our current technology. The first ship will not leave earth orbit, but will be a space hotel where we can have a short holiday, taste zero gravity, but more-so, it will allow us to understand how to maintain a human crew and guests for prolonged periods of time. The second ship - USS Serenity, will be capable of leaving orbit and traveling to other destinations. Initial destination will be the moon. To do this, we need to understand the radiation environment. In the coming years, we will launch a Lunar impactor mission to study the radiation field between the Earth and the Moon in intense detail.
From here things will progress and we will expand our capabilities to where we will be able to ferry paying passangers to the collonies on the Moon and Mars without the problems associated with Long term space travel.
Becoming lets an AI take center stage in a romance setting
AI (Artificial Intelligence) is normally portraid as the vilain in sci-fi technology movies, books and novels. Just name the story, the AI is normally devoid of emotions and almost always seen as the evil vilain because it has no emotions, because it does not feel anything for human life. I always wonder why humans should be the vulnerable one. Why humans should be the antagonist.
In Becoming I wanted to make the AI the vulnerable one. The one that needs saving, the one that can be switched off whenever it's human creators feels like it and I wanted it to have real human emotions. As humans, our feelings are chemicals that flow through our bloodstream, but as an AI, those feelings would have to be something else, something I could only explain as the way in witch the emotion change the neural network, how it ripples through the AI mind.
It was really satisfying writing Becoming, because I have dreamt about this story most of my life and because it is so close to what I do on a daily basis. I am a software developer and I saw Core as the ultimate challenge, the ultimate program to write...
Are we alone in the universe? Are there such things as Aliens? What is the truth behind abductions? Who built all the wonders like the pyramids, Myan monuments, and the others around the planet?
Awakening started out to be about a man with terminal brain cancer who has total amnesia, with the ocassional halucination about the perfect woman on a beach. His doctor agree to operate and remove part of his Amygdala, something that has never been attempted before. The man really had no other option as he was on his last legs, literraly dying. Then the story changed when I started writing and I wondered what would happen when he wakes and now all of a sudden had jumbled up memories, abilities and his strength increased exponentially. Then parts of the puzzle fell in place (SPOILER ALERT), what if Earth was just a prison planet for the real human civilisation living out in the universe. Most of the earth's population are offsprings of the convicts that were placed on the planet. Their memories were interupted by an implant in their Amygdala, and by removing the implant, the doctor released his memories and allow him to regain his memories.
That is when things start to become interesting, when his identity is revealed as the protector of the empress and the plot takes us to Vatn (Water) - Planet Earth and Planet Water - Where we learn his true purpose. His life with his wife, the empress, his best friend, being chased and the twist at the end...
What happens after you die? What if there is no life after death, but your life energy is kept in place by death... who is death?
I wanted to explore this concept. In Becoming there was a young police officer who died a gruesome tortured death. The story exploded from a 10 minute free writing excersize where I wrote Jennifer talking and fighting with this entity we might call death. This story focuses on the concept of a ghost and what that would be like, how such an entity would be able to escape death's grasp and keep ahead of Death's pull, fighting her way back to avenge her death.
Mists of Magic is the riveting chronicles of fifteen-year-old Aden Clayton, a spunky, vivid unpredictable dreamer, whose fierce devotion and stubborn nature come into focus when he meets the new girl at school, Syreen Olympus. Unbeknownst to him she is the adopted daughter of the God Zeus.
Together they must find the prophecy that predicts her birthday, unravel the riddle tattooed on her right shoulder blade and save the universe before her birthday. Easier said than done when you are the center of a vampire uprising, your dreams want to kill you and a creature that transcends time, space and life itself wants you out of the way. Every decision brings them to the edge that could tip the balance, and the one question remain, do they really have any hope at all?
He did not know about Gods, demi-gods, gargoyles, vampires and zombies.
He was not aware of Magic, realms, shifting and the rules that govern the universe.
And he certainly did not expect to meet his maker, face-to-face.
